I like to get dirty – this is how I get clean.

My shower is a place to relax, refresh & recuperate. I’m definitely a personal care product hoarder – since I do have so many projects I try to switch out my shower products about every 4 weeks.

If you read my blog or any of my social media you already know that I’ve switched out all my TOXIC personal care and household products for safe non-toxic products. Every now and again I like to reinforce why this is so important and now is one of those times.

Toxic ingredients are endocrine disruptors, leading to cancer, autoimmune diseases and other illnesses. I was amazed that EVERY product that I had contained toxic ingredients. Even my beautiful, expensive makeup that I thought was so ‘perfect’! I was shocked because I thought the high-quality products in fancy stores were made from quality ingredients- but I was fooled- by advertising.

Our skin absorbs 60% of any topical product we use and more than 10,000 ingredients are allowed for use in our personal care items. Many of these ingredients are hazardous to our health but they are used in everything from makeup to shampoo and cleaning products!

I cannot stress enough that I do not share this to scare anyone or be a fear monger – I share this information because I genuinely care about people I want to educate everybody so they can live a safe, eco-conscious and green lifestyle.

Now, don’t stress out. There are tons of resources out there to help you make the switch.

New at Target: Natural Haircare

image

I didn’t think it was possible to love Target more, but during my last trip to Target I discovered that they’re adding more and more natural products and brands to their shelves. When I say “natural,” I’m talking about brands that have ingredients that meet strict organic standards, have no sulfates, parabens, or other chemicals I can’t even pronounce.
During my latest trip @target I discovered a Natural Haire Care section. This section was stocked with an abundance of different natural haircare brands, some that I’ve seen at Target before and some that are completely new to me (Attitude, Soapbox, Renpure, & SoCozy.)

I took notes of the different brands in my phone and when I got home I researched each brand. I always do this when seeing new brands that are in natural sections at stores, I want to make sure that each brand is truly all natural and contain only ingredients that are safe to use.

iherb haul & giveaway! GIVEAWAY CLOSED

I’ve wanted to share a company that I really stand behind and love. They offer a variety of products that are all natural and organic plus they have great prices. iHerb sells nutritional supplements and other healthy products both in the U.S., as well as internationally. A constantly expanding business, iHerb carries one of the largest selections of high-quality nutritional products in the world. They also give back to our world – Worldwide, iHerb’s charitable donations in 2015 totaled $971,772. This included the building of two new schools in Cambodia, as well as the promotion of children’s education through the Cambodian Children’s Fund and New Hope Cambodia. In the past, iherb has also made donations to events such as earthquake relief in Haiti and famine relief in Somalia. I love that iHerb is committed to the environment, and through several different eco-friendly initiatives, they do their best to promote recycling and limit waste throughout their company.

OK enough about why I shop and support such an amazing company… as you can tell by now I love iherb; they have the best brands and carry all natural and organic products galore. If you haven’t shopped at iherb you definitely need to check it out. It’s the best place to buy skin care products, makeup, organic specialty teas and food. They offer free shipping on most orders and I always get my package 2-4 days after I order it. They really care about customer service – you know when you buy oils and cleansers online and they spill and leak everywhere when you receive your package – well not at iherb they individually wrap anything that can spill. Another reason to love iherb is that their prices are amazing you find items cheaper then at target and even other natural online stores.

Nighttime Skincare Routine.

Current Nighttime Skincare Routine. 🐰🌿🌺 💦

I’ve been using these products for over a week now and I don’t know if it is the combination or one product individually but I am seeing an improvement with my skins overall complexion.

➡I start with @sukinskincare Micellar Cleansing Water – I use this product as my makeup remover – I soak a cotton pad in the water and wipe my face. It really removes all makeup even the toughest – mascara. This cleansing water is formulated with Aloe Vera to thoroughly remove makeup and impurities, also includes a blend of Chamomile and refreshing Cucumber – these ingredients really calm down any skin irritations I have. The result is makeup-free, calm soothed skin.
